In August I prioritized reading more, dedicating time after my kid's bedtime to look through books, as well as reading while pushing on the swing at the park. Read some more great stuff this month!
It was another month where I didn't read a lot, but the books I did finish were so good. This first one is definitely gonna be one of my top five books of the year.
We were on vacation to visit family in the Northwest for half of June, and I didn't get any reading done then because taking care of a baby when their sleep schedule is completely messed up takes more time than you think. I did read one book this month, though...
Books about whales, climate change, botany, and cleaning
Books about monsters, deconstruction, gardening, and cooking
Books about cognitive labor, rage, stories, making, and living life to the fullest
An autobiography and some board books
Books about indigenous literature, anti-empire liturgies, southern cuisine, and food
Books about whales and wellness
Books about crows, trees, and laziness
Books about white evangelicalism and disability
May was… only a couple months ago, right? Oh well, it's never too late to get those book reviews out there!
Books about the climate emergency, sisters, and birds
Books about world religions, doubt, weirdness, and cake
Books about liturgy, revolution, and influence
Books about faith, teenagers, and animals
Books about science, the climate crisis, and struggle
Books about time, bittersweetness, and Jesus
Books about disability, Christian nationalism, and speaking out
Books about gender, asylum, and dead things
