Inktober, Days 11-15

Inktober day 13: "Kind." (My favorite I drew this week!) Arthur Holmwood has had the worst week ever, and even though he and Mina Harker have just met, he can't help but break down into manly tears. At the end of this conversation, they pledge to be siblings forever. <3

Inktober day 11: "Eagle." Not an eagle, but our dear Arthur Holmwood (fiancé to Lucy from day 9) probably has a pet falcon.

Inktober day 12: "Forget." Our good friend Jonathan Harker has turned up at a random hospital in Budapest with "brain fever" and no memory of the past several weeks! Fortunately his soon-to-be-wife Mina Murray is there to comfort him...

Inktober day 14: "Empty." Abraham Van Helsing and Jack Seward (sans his beloved phonograph) do a little light grave-robbing (but does it even count when the body isn't there?). Also featuring one of my favorite exchanges in the book:
"Are you satisfied now, friend John?" [Van Helsing] asked.
I felt all the dogged argumentativeness of my nature awake within me as I answered him:—
"I am satisfied that [the] body is not in that coffin; but that only proves one thing."
"And what is that, friend John?"
"That it is not there."

Inktober day 15: "Armadillo." Before the Texan ended up in London fighting vampires, Quincey Morris found this injured baby armadillo and nursed it back to health. I've decided this is canon.
