There’s nowhere you can be
Washing everything the evil mice might've touched... |
That isn’t where you’re meant to be.
Thoughts from today:
1. Finding mouse droppings in my silverware drawer is pretty much the only thing that could motivate me to empty all the shelves in the kitchen and scrub them (not to mention nuking them with vinegar and peppermint oil). But now that I have, it’s a really good feeling to put everything back in order.
2. I listened to songs by the Beatles on shuffle, skipping any that aren’t my favorites, for three straight hours today. (This isn’t even including the Abbey Road medley, because I didn’t want to listen to them out of order.) I can’t fathom how anyone could say the Beatles are overrated.
3. I’m increasingly certain that my body is not designed for a desk job— I seem to function much better and feel happier/more energetic when I eat a gigantic bowl of carbs and then do physical work for several hours.
4. I love my life.

I'm so glad you're learning about introspection! I'm a little too good at it to be honest. I've spent the past couple of months coming to terms with quitting my job and being a "normal" stay at home mother, so I feel like I can relate to a certain degree. Now my challenge is to stop focusing inward and start focusing outward again. This means focusing on people and the greater scheme of things. It was wonderful that you came to Audiofeed and I'm glad you met people who ask those kinds of questions! Love it!!
